Luke 9:1f

‘When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.’

Ignite Ministries believe that through Jesus Christ every single believer has the authority to heal the sick.

Genesis 26: 18
‘Isaac re-opened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them.’

Ignite Ministries believe they have had the call to re-open the wells for the miraculous in Great Britain and around the world; to dig the wells of salvation, and in so doing reach 1 million souls.

2 Kings 4: 1-7
This is a story of a man who died, leaving his widow and two children in debt. The only thing that the woman had left in her house was a small amount of oil and so the creditors were due to come and take the man’s two sons away as slaves in payment for the money owed. The widow went to Elisha and told him of her problem. He told her to go and ask her neighbours for as many empty jars as they had spare and then to go inside the house with her sons and pour the oil into all the jars and as each jar was filled she was to put it to one side.
She went indoors and did exactly what she had been told; her sons brought the jars to her and she kept pouring until all the jars were filled. Not until they ran out of jars did the oil stop flowing. She went out and told Elisha what had happened and he told her to sell the oil to pay off the debts and then she and her sons could live on what was left.

What we, at Ignite Ministries, believe the Lord said to us through this passage is that the time was right to get a new vessel a new jar (a new ministry) so that the Lord could fill it with the oil... the anointing, and as the anointing overflows... it will then enable the ministry to fulfil all that the Lord has planned.

Ephesians 4:11ff
‘It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.’
